Last week Nordic Render had the honor of visiting the Estonian Embassy in Berlin, where a modern business hub was officially opened on the embassy premises. The newly renovated rooms bring together historical charm and contemporary functionality, offering Estonian companies a prestigious meeting environment in the heart of the German capital.

For us at Nordic Render, this marks an exciting step forward. As we continue to expand our services in Germany—collaborating with architects, construction firms, and real estate developers—the opportunity to hold meetings directly at the Estonian Embassy is invaluable. The space is not only beautifully designed but also strategically located, making it an ideal place to connect with our growing client base.

Our visit included an insightful meeting with Mr. Roomet Sõrmus, Economic Counsellor at the Estonian Embassy in Berlin, where we discussed business diplomacy, future collaboration, and opportunities to strengthen Estonia’s presence in Germany through our innovative, high-quality 3D visualization and animation services.

A Building With Remarkable History

Uniquely, Estonia is one of the few countries in Berlin that continues to use its pre–World War II embassy building. While much of the surrounding neighborhood was destroyed during the war, the embassy survived as one of only three houses left standing on its block.

Although the embassy was closed in 1940, the property continued to legally belong to the Republic of Estonia throughout the decades. After independence was restored in 1991, Estonia regained full ownership, renovated the building, and officially reopened the embassy on 1 June 2001. You can read more about the history of this remarkable building here.

A New Chapter: Embassy as a Bridge for Estonian Business

The opening of the embassy’s business hub marks a promising new chapter—one that strengthens ties between Estonian companies and the German market. The initiative supports modern business diplomacy by offering Estonian entrepreneurs and organizations a representative space for meetings, negotiations, and networking.

At Nordic Render, we are grateful for this opportunity. The embassy’s support enhances our ability to engage with partners in Germany, present our work, and promote Estonian innovation abroad. Standing in a building with more than a century of history—yet fully adapted for today’s business needs—felt symbolic of the future we are building together.

We look forward to many more visits, inspiring conversations, and successful collaborations in this extraordinary setting.
